HP1320 Universal Metal Primer is a high-performance, one-component, quick-dry, rust-inhibitive metal primer, formulated for use on ferrous metal substrates. The phenolic alkyd resin formulation allows for a wide variety of intermediate and finish coats. The quick dry and recoat times allow for fast turnaround of production work. Additionally, this product may be used as a tie coat over existing coatings that will be finished with a high performance coating. Not recommended for non-ferrous metals such as galvanized, aluminum or for use in immersion service. May be applied to new or properly prepared rusted surfaces.
